Two Sisters, One Kitchen

Quick, healthy meals by a loving team. See what’s cooking in J & K's kitchen!

Meet the Chefs May 12, 2009

We know it’s rare, but we’re two sisters who love to spend time together – in the kitchen and beyond. We share a love for good food and for cooking. We’ve shared a home through our childhood and a dorm and apartment through our college years. Although we are now separated by a little distance, we’re still as close as can be.

Jamie Stolarz, 27, is a registered and licensed dietitian nutritionist (MS, RDN, LDN). She is the 1st in-store dietitian for Publix Super Markets, Inc. Jamie previously developed the pilot program “Vet HEALTH: Healthy Eating And Lifestyle Tips for Heroes” for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs as the Program Coordinator. Jamie graduated from the University of Florida’s Master of Science – Dietetic Internship Program. Jamie is a triathlete and loves to swim and stay active.

Kathryn Stolarz, 24, is a journalist and is Associate Managing Editor for the Villages Daily Sun. Before her current job, Kathryn was a Copy Editor of The Seminole Tribune. She graduated from UF with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and minors in Business and Leadership in April 2011. She’s gotten a taste of book publishing, magazines, newspapers, radio and TV news.  To stay active, she enjoys yoga and jogging.

So what do you get when you put a Journalist and Dietitian in the kitchen? Delicious meals and a blog about them.

Our cooking style is mainly Mediterranean cuisine (especially Italian) with the occasional twist. We love dreaming up quick, healthy meals.

Join us in our kitchens.

Love, Jamie and Kathryn

    Hey Jamie,
So I was at what that dietitian classified as a 2 or a 3 today after finally getting home from Naples. With hunger setting in, I decided to look for some food to make. You said that you and your sister had a blog, but I didn’t expect something of this magnitude. I drooled at every picture. You both really have something going here. Keep up the good work.
