Jamie says: Here’s a J & K classic- Crispy Salmon. There’s only one ingredient, and it’s salmon! K and I always come back to this favorite recipe because it tastes so good and it’s so easy to prepare. I love the crispy outside and the flaky inside.
The crispy pieces sometimes come off. Doesn’t it look like salmon bacon? (I made that up, but I’d like to take credit for it. Definition on picture below.)
- 1/2 lb salmon
- Heat a saute pan on a burner on medium heat. Place salmon filet on pan. Cook for about 6 minutes on one side, flip, and cook an additional 6 minutes on the other side or until crispy and cooked throughout. Flip salmon filet on it’s side and cook for 1 minute. Flip to other side and cook an additional one minute. Use a spatula to remove from pan. Enjoy!
- Nutrition note: No need to add extra fat and calories with oil or butter on this one. The salmon tastes amazing on its own and naturally has omega 3s, good-for-you fats.
