Now we can cook some delicious meals for her with the skills she taught us. But we’re still always learning more from her in the kitchen.
For breakfast, we made crepes. We used a chestnut flour batter Mom bought from a health food store. Jamie was much better at making the crepes than I was because she made them thick so they wouldn’t rip.
Then, we added sliced bananas, strawberries and blackberries. We sprinkled cinnamon on top. Dad thought to add a dollop of sour cream to the top, which I absolutely loved. We used toothpicks to hold the crepes together because they were so stuffed we couldn’t roll them.
We ate them with forks and used fine China for the special morning. Everyone loved it!
