Jamie says: Little bunnies. Big flavor. After looking at my last favorite products post, I’m starting to think I’m reverting back to childhood with my snack choices. But why not enjoy some healthy versions of those childhood favorites. Annie’s Organic Snack Mix Bunnies are tasty cheese crackers and pretzels that are made with ingredients you can pronounce and understand (i.e. no crazy additives or preservatives) and without trans fats. So go ahead, buy a box and play with your food like when you were little.
Jamie says: A fun and tasty treat in yogurt, these little guys are nothing to feel bad about. With whole oats, no hydrogenated oils (aka trans fats), and no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives, these tasty treats earned my seal of approval. I really enjoyed the animal cookies in key lime pie lime pie yogurt (think of them as a trans fat free crust.
Jamie says: Like Cap’n Crunch? Try the new Kashi Honey Sunshine cereal! The little pillows of crunch are light and have a hint of honey. With 20 grams of whole grains and 5 grams of fiber, it’s a great healthy alternative you can feel good about. It’s also lower in sugar than most cereals. So go ahead: grab a box, pour a bowl, and dig in.
Jamie says: Meet Wallaby Organic Dark Chocolate Down Under Yogurt and the rest of Wallaby Organic Down Under Yogurt family. The best part of this creamy and delicious yogurt is the “stuff on the bottom.” All the Wallaby yogurt varieties I’ve had have been good, but I’m a big fan of the dark chocolate one, which is a little higher in calories (170 calories). It also has probiotics and provides 20% of the calcium you need for the day. Consider it a tasty, calcium-rich dessert!
Jamie says: I’ve had the craziest lemon cravings lately. To satisfy my cravings, I bought – lemon nutrition bars, Lemon Chalet Cremes Girl Scout cookies, lemon flavoring packets, True Lemon flavoring packets- and lemon yogurt. To be honest, at first I was a little skeptical of the Lemon Chobani Greek Yogurt (I thought it would be too thick), but I was wrong. It was absolutely delicious! The best thing about the yogurt is that it has real lemon pulp. I also like the nutrition label, of course: it’s 140 calories (reasonable to me), quite high in protein (15 g), has no fat, and has ingredients I feel good about. I’m hooked now, and the only thing that has stopped me from buying them every week is their availability.

Jamie says: For those busy nights when there is just no time to cook dinner, don’t compromise on quality- enjoy a frozen Amy’s dinner. I love Amy’s Mexican Casserole Bowl. The main ingredients are corn, black beans, and cheese. The one dish meal is full of flavor; the spices give it a nice little kick. I like the texture of the corn mesa, too.
Jamie says: In honor of the University of Florida Gator’s football victory (48-10) against the Appalachian State, I am spotlighting a ”mountain mix” bar to show there are no hard feelings against the Mountaineers. With nuts, raisins, pretzels, and chocolate chips, the Clif Mojo Mountain Mix bar is the perfect combination of sweet and salty. No wonder why it’s one of my new favorites.
Jamie says: LUNA Protein Chocolate Cherry Almond is a crunchy bar infused with cherry flavor and surrounded by a chocolate coating. For 200 calories, it is also very satisfying. http://lunabar.com/products/protein/chocolate_cherry_almond/
Jamie says: The crunchy clusters and ”berry” sweet taste of Kashi GoLean Crisp! Toasted Berry Crumble are not the only good things about this cereal. It is also made with whole grains and has 9 grams of protein and 8 grams of fiber per 3/4 cup serving. Go ahead. Give it a try, and start off your day right. http://www.kashi.com/products/golean_cereal_crisp_toasted_berry_crumble
Jamie says: LARABARs are made with dates (dried fruit), and the ingredients are natural and few. The Chocolate Chip Brownie LARABAR was a good one! I loved finding the chunks of chocolate chips, almonds, and walnuts, too.
Jamie says: My new favorite frozen meals are Amy’s. On the days that I need a quick meal, Amy’s dinners are perfect. All of the meals I have tried so far are so fresh-tasting that you wouldn’t even believe they were ”frozen dinners” unless you saw them come out of the boxes. Amy’s Enchilada Verde is a whole meal dinner consisting of a spinach & cheese enchilada, rice, and beans. I really love the taste of the cilantro in this dinner. The meal is 390 calories (a light meal) and is a good source of vitamins A and C, calcium, and iron. Give it a try… you’re tastebuds will thank you.
Jamie says: Get “in the zone” with a Dark Zone Perfect Double Dark Chocolate Nutrition Bar. It tastes like a rich dark chocolate candy bar, and has a nice crunch to it. Like many nutrition bars, it has protein and is fortified with lots of vitamins and minerals.

Jamie says:
Jamie says: Nature’s Path Crunchy Vanilla Sunrise Cereal is a delicious, organic treat. The cereal reminds me of a cross between Pops and Kix. Although it is not the most visually appealing food, the sweet taste definitely makes up for it. It is also gluten-free for individuals with celiac disease, which is an autoimmune disease in which the intestines becomes damaged from eating certain proteins found in wheat, rye, and barley.
Jamie says: Wonderful brand mini almonds, roasted & salted, are by far the best almonds I’ve ever had in my life! I love the “mini” size and they are so flavorful! One serving (1/4 cup) has 40% of the Daily Value for vitamin E, too. (I found them hidden in between the produce and juice sections at Publix.)
Jamie says: I am normally not a big fan of chips, but I love Food Should Taste Good multigrain tortilla chips. They are tasty corn chips that have a nice crunch and taste delicious perfect for sandwiches, salsa, and soups. They also contain ingredients you can feel good about, too- oat fiber, brown rice, quinoa, soy, and seeds (flax, sunflower, and sesame).

Jamie says: LUNA bars are definitely one of my new favorite nutrition bars. They are so flavorful and have just the right amount of sweetness to them. The ingredients and nutrition profile are good, too, of course. The LUNA LemonZest bar is absolutely delicious! The lemon flavor is quite refreshing, and I really like the coating. I’m hooked! I want to sample them all.

Healthy Choice Mocha Swirl Bar
Kathryn says: Only 90 calories each, Healthy Choice Mocha Swirl Bars are a refreshing, rich, smooth popsicle treat. (http://www.healthychoice.com/product-Mocha-Swirl-Bars_2085.html)

Kashi Lemongrass Coconut Chicken
Jamie says: I tried Kashi’s Lemongrass Coconut Chicken for the first time after a swim at the pool. It was a satisfying and tasty post-exercise meal. The ginger and coconut flavor went well with the nutty flavor of the pilaf. The Lemongrass Coconut Chicken is my favorite frozen Kashi meal so far.

Post Shredded Wheat Vanilla Almond
Jamie says: The combination of vanilla bean flavor, sweetness, and crunch is just right in Post Shredded Wheat Vanilla Almond. This new cereal has become one of our favorite cereals!

Kashi's Mayan Harvest Bake
Kathryn says: We normally don’t buy frozen meals, but we love Kashi products and wanted to give this one a try.

Dannon Activia Vanilla Yogurt

Rachel's Vanilla Chai Yogurt
Jamie says: I normally do not eat yogurt. Don’t get me wrong, I love ice cream yogurt and yogurt salad dressings, but “yogurt yogurt” is not something I go for. I try to eat it, I try to like it, but this usually doesn’t work. However, about once a year, I develop a craving for it. To satisfy my annual yogurt craving, I tried Rachel’s Vanilla Chai Low Fat Yogurt. It was delicious, and I will definitely buy it again. I made a tasty breakfast with it (see my blog post titled “I Can’t Believe I Like Yogurt”). The yogurt has a fun package (I plan on using mine for a flower pot), contains probiotics and omega-3 DHA for health, and comes in many fun flavors. Try one…and let me know what you think. Kashi Heart to Heart Honey Toasted Cereal with Blueberries, Raspberries, and Nuts
Jamie says: I am a big fan of many Kashi products. I really enjoy the Kashi Heart to Heart Honey Toasted Oat Cereal. It tastes delicious (like a less sweetened version of Honey Nut Cheerios) and has a lot of fiber, vitamins, and minerals. I like to add fruit (such as bananas, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and/or blackberries) and nuts to my cereal, too.

I really enjoyed reviewing your website. Thanks for the tip to check out your blog yesterday. Now about the Amy’s frozen meals…how is the sodium content? I don’t like yogurt, yogurt either…now frozen yogurt, that’s another story!
Hi Mrs. Korzec,
I’m glad you like the blog! The Amy’s frozen meals are delicious! The sodium content is fairly typical for prepared foods, but I just discovered they have “light in sodium” products: http://www.amyskitchen.com/products/category_view.php
I used to dislike yogurt, but then I tried different varieties out and found them to be very enjoyable.
